The Fitness Industry's ProblemI've been in the fitness industry for sixteen years. I love what I do, but I've always had issues with the business of fitness.
My biggest problem with personal training is that in gyms I've worked in, I would not be able to afford MY OWN services. Personal training is often viewed as a luxury, but health and fitness are such an important part of a person’s lifestyle that it should be a necessity. We should all be able to afford to see a personal trainer. Many people I know end up joining a gym, not getting the results they want, getting discouraged, diving into a pint of ice cream to drown their sorrows, and just giving up. Most work out alone but fall into routines and lack innovative programming in their day-to-day workouts. Others opt for large classes at their gyms. Training with other people can be encouraging, fun and motivating, however, I find that I can't be the best possible trainer when I am training 15 to 30 clients at a time. Large classes mean very little individual instruction causing injuries due to improper form and technique. When you’re injured, you can’t work out, and when you can’t work out, you can’t get the results you want. Large classes are also very limiting because most are only equipped with small weights, mats, and steps. While these tools are valuable, they alone cannot achieve the best results possible in the shortest amount of time. So there they are my gripes with the fitness industry. But, there is another way! |
The Fortitude Fitness SolutionLet me offer you solutions.
The obstacles to personal training are cost and accessibility. When you combine the cost of renting, maintaining, and staffing a training facility, then filling it with lots of fancy equipment, it can add up. And, when you pay for a personal trainer, you pay for ALL of that gym overhead that doesn’t affect the quality of your training. So, what if you just want to pay for what it takes to achieve and maintain the best shape of your life? That is what Fortitude Fitness is all about. No frills. Just fitness. I have stocked our 2,500 square foot facility with only essential equipment, so we can give our clients the best workout possible without the costly overhead of most gyms. This is why our prices are lower than any other gym in town. We also offer small group training to groups of 3 to 8 people as a solution to the love-classes-hate-injuries issue. So, if you want to get into the best shape of your life and get all the benefits of an experienced certified personal trainer without the outrageous costs, jump on over to the Contact section, and let’s get started! We offer a variety of ways to get results including (but never limited to) free weights, kettlebells, tractor tires, functional training, and suspension training, as well as nutritional coaching. Each training session will be customized to your fitness goals and we can accommodate all fitness levels. |
