Kelsey Whirley, Personal Trainer
Kelsey graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and has her CrossFit Level 1 Certification. Her entire childhood she was obsessed with basketball and her lifelong dream was to play college ball. At age 15, she was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a degenerative retinal disease that causes vision loss. Eventually, she was unable to play basketball, but she fell in love with all kinds of fitness. Because of her vision issues she realizes how therapeutic exercise can be and how important it is to have a safe, supportive environment to de-stress from the day. It has become her new dream to share her passion for fitness with others. Outside of personal training she is a competitive CrossFit athlete and competes in local competitions as much as possible. She loves all types of fitness and can't wait to help you fall in love with it too. She will be here to support and inspire you every step of the way on your fitness journey!

Justin King, Personal Trainer
Justin is an Indianapolis native and graduated from Lawrence North High school in 2001. He attended Ivy Tech and Indiana University, majoring in biology and psychology, from 2002-2006. Fitness has always been a huge part of his life. His father was a marine and fought in Vietnam. From a very young age he instilled in Justin that a strong body helps to cultivate a strong mind. Justin has competed in many sports, but truly found his calling in combat sports. He wrestled all throughout school, finally making it to the state tournament and placing as a senior when he was at Lawrence North. He also wrestled at Indiana University and gained an invaluable experience while there. After leaving Indiana University, he came back to Indianapolis and gave back to the school system that gave him so much as a volunteer wrestling coach at Lawrence Central High.
His journey through the fitness industry began right around the time that he became a mixed martial artist, back in 2008. He started working at a small gym in Westfield with one of his teammates. He worked the front desk, and eventually the owners helped him become a certified personal trainer. He has trained at various privately owned and corporate gyms and has gained a lot of experience in the fitness industry. He eventually would like to go back to school to obtain an Exercise Science Degree to further his education and continue to become a better trainer.
Justin truly enjoys helping people become healthier in mind and body. He believes that if you have a healthy body and feel good, it not only builds confidence, but can give you a more positive overall outlook on life. He truly enjoys fostering that positive outlook in his clients. Justin is very excited to be part of the Fortitude Fitness family!
